Eddyfi - LYFT

Pulsed eddy current device

Eddyfi - LYFT

Lyft® can scan through thick insulation, as well as protective casings made of aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel.

Technical Description

  • High-performance CUI inspection solution: Specifically designed for Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) inspection , improving inspection productivity and reducing installation/detail time.
  • Scans through thick insulation and protective coatings: Can scan through thick insulation, aluminum, stainless steel, and galvanized steel without stripping the insulation.
  • SmartPULSE™ automatic optimization: Automatically sets PEC parameters including gain, time, filter… enabling fast and highly repeatable wall thickness measurements.
  • Real-time C-scan imagery: Supports both grid-mapping and dynamic modes, allowing for immediate viewing of the inspection map.
  • Easy to use, operator-independent: Optimizes data and wall thickness measurements even with liftoff, overlaps, or rough surfaces.
  • Durable, portable design: IP65 water and dust resistant casing, impact-resistant 10.4" touchscreen, hot-swap battery, and flexible connectivity options.

Applications

  • Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI): Inspects for corrosion beneath the insulation layer without removing the insulation.
  • Pipelines & Pressure Vessels: Inspection of pipes, pressure vessels, and tanks in oil and gas, chemical, and energy plants.
  • Clipped or Coated Surfaces: Detects corrosion or thinning on surfaces protected by clad steel, aluminum, or other coatings.
  • Hard-to-reach areas: Inspect hard-to-reach areas, thick walls, or rough surfaces.
  • Rapid Mapping: Quickly create C-scan maps to identify weak points and areas requiring maintenance.
