Technical Description
- The most advanced MFL solution for tank bottoms: FloormapX is a next-generation multi-technology MFL Array that optimizes corrosion detection at tank bottoms.
- Ability to differentiate between surface and subsurface corrosion: STARS technology allows differentiation between corrosion from the top and bottom surfaces, providing clearer information about the structural condition.
- Maximum coverage and hazardous areas: Maximum scanning area, including the area near the tank walls, allows for a more comprehensive inspection.
- High and flexible scanning speed: Maintains scanning speeds from 500 mm/s to 1 m/s with multiple scanning modes (Mapping, Freescan, Pause on defect).
- Excellent detection performance on thick steel: Capable of inspecting steel plates up to 20 mm (3/4 in) thick with high sensitivity.
- Professional reporting: Combined with SIMS PRO software for flexible reporting according to EEMUA 159 and API 653 standards.
Applications
FloormapX is widely used for inspecting the bottom of tanks, especially in applications such as:
- Inspect the bottom of the above-ground storage tank (AST) , including the area near the tank walls.
- Analyze the location and extent of corrosion above and below the surface (top/bottom discrimination).
- Comprehensive wide-area scanning with multiple data scanning modes: MFL and STARS.
- Standardize reporting according to EEMUA 159 and API 653 for warehouse condition assessment.
