AFFRI MK II Portable Rockwell Hardness Tester
Portable Rockwell hardness tester AFFRI® MK II, 100% made in Italy.
Test hardness directly on the production floor without laboratory testing. Lightweight and compact, it can inspect any surface, large products, and already-assembled parts.
AFFRI’s vertical movement enables a fully automatic measurement cycle.
Features
- Direct Rockwell measurement to DIN 50157 and ASTM E110, with production-floor testing and no sample preparation.
- Easy to use: press and read; just 1–5 seconds per measurement.
- Equipped with an advanced dynamic load cell, typically found in premium benchtop hardness testers.
- Accurately measures very thin metal sheets over 0.06 mm thick, chrome-plated surfaces, steel coils, profiles, and more.
- Protected diamond indenter for extended testing.
- Electronic LCD with multi-angle visibility, displaying Tensile (N/mm), HAZ, HR, HB, HV, and HL scales simultaneously.
- Set tolerances, averages, charts, and more; large data-storage capacity.
- MKII: RS 232 C printer output (USB 2 option available).

Accurate measurements in all conditions, even on complex surfaces, without special setup. Measures in any position, including upside down. Accessories support testing round or irregular parts such as long screws, coils, bottles, and pipes.

HARDTEST II – Upgraded MK II version (eliminates user error).
The sample holder is especially useful for hard-to-test or complex-shaped parts (such as wire samples, springs, and pipes). HARDTEST II locks the sample for stable measurement and prevents movement. Easy and safe to use, with a 30 x 30 mm measurement area.
